Most young people as you would notice just got out of high school. In high school the mentality is to have the latest in vanity. Apple does a lot of marketing to keep young people interested in their products. Weather we like or, marketing influences a lot of people like zombies. Weather be it cars, clothes or latest gadgets.
I say apple is just doing too good a job marketing their products as cool to young people. That's why it's refreshing to see a young person who has a windows phone or android because you know that person doesn't listen to hype.
And if the argue is because iPhones are luxury items there for expensive. I say it doesn't matter especially under contract. Buying an iPhone, flagship android or flag ships wp out right will cost the same.
